コロラド州で吸血鬼を倒し、息子と共に戦うことを決めたジョンは、サムとディーンに行方不明になった理由と今までの経緯を話し始めた。悪魔が襲撃する一週間前には決まった兆候が起きる。その兆候が今アイオワで起きていると言う。さっそくアイオワに向かった3人は、途中でジム牧師の死を知らされる。親友を犠牲にしてしまったジョンはアイオワで悪魔を仕留めることを決意する。
