ローラは記者会見を開き、「船団の燃料チリュームが底をつき始め、現在ギャラクティカが補給先を探索中」だと公表。するとその席で、彼女は手元に１２匹ほどのヘビが這い回る幻覚を見る。その頃、ラプターのシャロンとクラッシュダウンのコンビは、ようやくチリュームを大量に埋蔵する小惑星を発見。だがそこは、すでにサイロンの燃料基地となっていた。アダマは熟慮の末、その基地を奪い取ることを決断。正攻法での奪取は難しいと見るやカーラに奇抜な戦術を提案させ、その実行をリーに託す。
