米CBSが、今シーズン放送の番組のうち、来シーズンも放送を継続する11番組を発表した。放送継続が決まったのは、「SCORPION／スコーピオン」「エレメンタリ― ホームズ＆ワトソン in NY」「NCIS: ニューオーリンズ」「NCIS: LA ～極秘潜入捜査班」「ブルーブラッド ～NYPD家族の絆～」「HAWAII FIVE-O」「Madam Secretary(原題)」のドラマ・シリーズ7作品、「Mom(原題)」「NYボンビー・ガール」のコメディ・シリーズ2作品、そして「サバイバー」「アメージング・レース」のリアリティー・ショー2作品。
今シーズンのCBSは、18－49歳層、25－54歳層のプライムタイム視聴率、全体視聴者数で他のネットワークを寄せ付けず、トップを快走。長年続いているシリーズも多く、がっちり固定した視聴者をつかんでいる。
今回の発表により、放送継続が決まっていないのは、新シリーズ（「SUPERGIRL／スーパーガール」など）の他に数番組のみ。そのうちの一つが、「クリミナル・マインド」だ。「クリミナル・マインド」はシリーズ当初からのレギュラーだったシェマー・ムーアが現在米で放送中のシーズン１１で降板。ファンを落胆させたが、それでも人気はトップレベル。放送継続はほぼ間違いないようだ。3月16日からスタートしたスピンオフシリーズ「Criminal Minds : Beyond Borders(原題)」の判断待ちとの見方もある。
CBSはこれまでに、「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」の放送継続を発表済み。また「グッド・ワイフ」「パーソン・オブ・インタレスト」「マイク＆モリ― マシュマロ系しあわせ日記」の3番組の現行シーズンでの終了も決定している。
