キャメロンが、ターミネーター“クロマティ”がこの世界にタイムスリップしてきているという知らせを持ってくる。どうやらクロマティは、自分の体を修復するために、マシンの骨格を形成しているコルタンという物質を狙っているらしい。そこでサラたちは、コルタンが荷揚げされる港で待ち伏せることに。だが港に現れたのは、クロマティとは別のマシンだった。サラは危険を冒してまで別のマシンを相手にする必要はないと言って帰ろうとするが、ジョンは奴らの計画を食い止めるべきだと主張する。
