バスケットボールの復帰を目指してプロテストを受けることにしたネイサン。どこからの推薦もないまま独り、テスト会場に乗り込む。ルーカスはジュリアンの提案でロスにいる監督に会いに行くが、その独特なノリに閉口する。ペイトンは新曲を作ろうとしないミアに、他の作曲家の歌をレコーディングさせようと働きかけるが聞き入れられない。絆が深まりつつあるブルックとサム。ブルックは思いきって、店で襲撃されたことをサムに打ち明けるが……。
