米CBSの「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」のレギュラー陣が、今秋以降の2シーズン分（14、15シーズン）の出演契約を更新したことが明らかになった。
出演契約を更新したのは、番組スタート当時から出演しているオリジナルキャストのポーリー・ペレット、同じくオリジナルキャストのデヴィッド・マッカラム、シーズン１の第7話に初登場したショーン・マーレイ、そしてシーズン６からレギュラー入りしているロッキー・キャロルの4人。全員が昨シーズン末で契約切れとなっていた。更新後の出演料について、具体的な金額は報じられていないものの、レギュラー陣の中でも主要メンバーで人気者のポーリーは、大幅な金額アップを勝ち取ったと見られている。
主演で製作総指揮を兼ねるマーク・ハーモンは、2016年2月の交渉で、すでに2シーズン分を更新済み。他のレギュラー陣、ブライアン・ディーツェン、エミリー・ウィッカーシャムはまだ契約期間が残っているという。
オリジナルキャストだったマイケル・ウェザリーはシーズン１３（2015-16年）で降板したが、今回の契約更新で、今後の「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」は、少なくとも2シーズンに渡り、現行メンバーによる放送継続が決定した。今秋からスタートする新シーズンには、ウィルマー・バルデラマ（「ザット’70ショー」）がレギュラー加入するほか、現在、もう一人のレギュラーとなる女性キャストを選考中と伝えられている。
シーズン１３を終えてなお、毎話平均2054万人の視聴者数（ライブ及び7日以内の録画視聴含む）を獲得する超人気シリーズ。ファンにとってはエキサイティングな新シーズンとなりそうだ。
