海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.709 　「BONES　―骨は語る―」のデヴィッド・ボレアナズ、息子の引っ越しを手伝う

「BONES　―骨は語る―」のデヴィッド・ボレアナズが、米エンタメ誌のインタビューに答え、子育てについて語っている。



「子育ては旅のようなもの。けれど終わりはない、そして楽になることもない!」
子を持つ親なら、うなづく人もいるだろうか。「BONES　―骨は語る―」「SEAL Team/シール・チーム」「エンジェル」と、TVシリーズで主演を務めてきたスターも素に戻れば我が子の幸せを一番に願うお父さん。妻で女優のジェイミー・バーグマンとの間に一男一女がいる。
先日は息子ジェイデン君(22歳)の引っ越しを手伝ったとか。
「息子がNYのアパートから退出したのです。荷造りや掃除はほとんど彼が済ませ、僕は外で運び出しやらを手伝いました。疲れましたよ」



基本的に米国では、家族や友人たちだけでトラックを借りて引っ越しを済ませる人が多い。セレブの息子とはいえ、若いジェイデン君もその一人だったようだ。
「忍耐力を試されます」とデヴィッド。父と息子、あれこれ口ゲンカもはさみながら、作業したに違いない。それも子育て旅の途中の一コマだ。
「ジェイデンはNY大学に通っていたのですが、昨年から休学しています。彼はアーティストであり、ミュージシャンでもあります。自分の魂に従っているんでしょう。大切なことです」
そして娘のベラさんはまだ15歳。馬が大好きで、好奇心いっぱいの女の子だという。
「子供たちは自分のやりたいことを見つけてくれました。僕は少し過保護なところもありますが、彼らはきちんと育っています」



コワモテのルックスながら、子供にはちょっぴり甘いお父さん。永遠に続く子育て旅、デヴィッドは彼らにとって、これからもずっと頼りになる存在であり続けたいと願っている。
