海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.304　 「NCIS: LA 極秘潜入捜査班」新シーズンが更新「NCIS：Hawaii」の製作も決定

米CBSでロングラン放送を続ける「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」が今秋以降のシーズン19更新を決めたばかりだが、そのスピンオフ・シリーズも新シーズンが更新されることが分かった。新シーズンとなるシーズン13の更新を決めたのは「NCIS: LA 極秘潜入捜査班」。もともと更新は確実視されていたが、クリス・オドネル、LL・クール・J両主演の継続確定を待っての発表となった。「犯罪捜査官ネイビーファイル」（1995～2005年）のスピンオフとして誕生した「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」（2003年～）。そのスピンオフが、2009年スタートの「NCIS: LA 極秘潜入捜査班」だ。その5年後には「NCIS：ニューオーリンズ」の放送が始まったが、こちらは現在米で放送中のシーズン7をもってシリーズ・フィナーレ。最終回の放送は5月16日（米時間）、全155話で完結となる。
 
そして「NCIS」シリーズから4番目のスピンオフとして製作が決定したのが「NCIS：Hawaii」（原題）。「NCIS：ニューオーリンズ」製作総指揮のクリストファー・シルバー、ジャン・ナッシュがそのまま「NCIS：Hawaii」（原題）の指揮を執る。さらに「HAWAII FIVE-0」「S.W.A.T.」などCBSのドラマシリーズの監督を多く手掛けている中国系米国人のラリー・テンが新しく「NCIS：Hawaii」（原題）の製作総指揮に名を連ねる。テンは、プレミア・エピソードの監督も手掛けるという。また「NCIS：Hawaii」（原題）は、同シリーズ史上初めて女性捜査官が主役となることでも注目を浴びている。候補として「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」シーズン14にアレックス・クィン捜査官役で出演していたジェニファー・エスポジートの名前が挙がっている。
