DVRサービスで知られる米TIVO社が、会員によるTV視聴記録を基に人気番組などのランキングを発表した。調査期間は、2016年1月から3月まで3ヶ月、TIVO会員のうち3万世帯を抽出、利用を記録したもの。
米TV5大ネットワークのうち、プライムタイムにおいて、もっともライブ視聴率が高かった（録画率が低かった）ネットワークはNBCで、ライブ視聴の割合は74％。NBCが複数抱える人気のリアリティーショーの存在が要因だ。以下、CBS（72％）、ABC（71％）、FOX（68％）と続き、最もライブ視聴率が低かったのはCWで、わずか57％。SFやアメコミ原作のドラマが人気のCWは、若者向けのネットワークと言われる。TV番組をライブ視聴する習慣に乏しい若者たちの趣向を明確に表した結果となった。
CWのドラマは録画して視聴する割合の高い番組ランキングでも上位を独占。1位は「THE FLASH／フラッシュ」で63.1％。2位は「ARROW／アロー」（58.8％）、3位「レジェンド・オブ・トゥモロー」（57％）と続き、4位にはNBCの「ブラックリスト」とABCの「モダン・ファミリー」が同率54.3％で並んでいる。
さらにTIVO独自に開発した番組予約サービス“One Pass”の利用が多い番組についてもランキングを発表。1位は「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」、2位は「モダン・ファミリー」、3位は「ブラックリスト」、4位には「NCIS ネイビー犯罪捜査班」と人気番組が並んだ。“One Pass”は新エピソードの自動録画及び管理機能で、TIVO社は番組の熱心なファンが好んで利用するサービスと説明している。
