トニーは報復のためマットの居所を捜すよう命じる。クリスは心停止に陥り緊急手術を受ける。1分間死の淵をさまよった末に回復した彼は、トニーとポーリーを呼び、臨死体験の話をする。地獄でマイキーに会い、伝言を預かったというのだ。ドクター・メルフィはセラピーの中でマフィアに対する嫌悪感をあらわにする。後に、エリオット医師にセラピーを受けた彼女は、トニーに対し批判的な態度をとってしまったことを反省する。
