あのカービープラザでの死闘から4ヶ月後。ベネット家はバトラーと名を変え、カリフォルニアで新しい生活を始めていた。ベネットはコピー会社に勤め、クレアとライルも新しい学校に行き始めた。ニューヨーク市警の試験にパスし念願の警部になったマットは、モリーと一緒に生活している。過去の日本にタイムスリップしてしまったヒロは、あこがれの英雄ケンセイに出会っていた。アンドウとカイトはニューヨークでヒロの帰りを待っているが、この４ヵ月何の知らせもない。そんなある日、カイトのもとに24時間以内に死ぬというメッセージが送られてくる。
