「SCORPION／スコーピオン」の美しすぎるリアルカップル、ウォルター役のエリス・ガベルと、ペイジ役のキャサリン・マクフィーが破局していたことが分かった。
米エンタメサイトによれば、二人が正式に破局したのは、今年の6月。シーズン２の撮影を終えた後、二人の関係にも終止符が打たれたようだ。
関係者によれば、「二人は話し合って別れました。二人は今も友達で、これからもほぼ毎日一緒に働くことになるでしょう。お互い愛し合っていたのですが、関係を続けていくのは難しいと判断したのです」と円満破局を強調している。
二人の関係が公になったのは、2014年8月半ば。「SCORPION／スコーピオン」撮影の合い間にエリスに抱きついて甘えるキャサリンの姿がパパラッチされたのだ。まだ「SCORPION／スコーピオン」のオンエア前だったが、美男美女の二人は撮影開始後まもなく恋に落ちていたのだった。
その後も、愛し合う二人の微笑ましい様子はあちこちで報告されていたが、それもこの春までだったらしい。今年6月14日、「SCORPION／スコーピオン」でモンテカルロTV祭に参加した際には、連れだって歩く二人の表情から笑顔が消えていた。そして、極め付けは破局後、初の公の場となる予定だったイベント、コミコン・インターナショナル。大勢のファンが埋めた「SCORPION／スコーピオン」のパネルに、なんと主演のエリスの姿がなかったのだ。
円満破局したとされる二人だが、もうじきスタートするシーズン３の撮影や二人が演じるウォルターとペイジの関係にどんな影響を及ぼすのだろうか…。
