「ブラックリスト」のジェームズ・スペイダーが、親友だった故ジョン・F・ケネディ・ジュニアの思い出話を、米トーク番組で披露した。
若き少年時代のジェームズとジョンは、米マサチューセッツ州の名門ボーディングスクール、フィリップ・アカデミーで寝起きを共にした気の合う仲間だった。ある時、ケネディ宅に夕食に呼ばれたジェームズは、暇にまかせて夕食前にもかかわらず書斎にあったピスタチオをお腹いっぱい食べてしまった。それでも、ジョンの母ジャクリーンと姉キャロライン、そしていとこらが並ぶ家族の食卓についたジェームズだが、案の定、食事の途中で気分が悪くなってしまった。そこで退席しようとした瞬間、なんと一家の前で、食べた物をそのまま自分の皿の上に吐き出してしまったのだとか。ジャクリーンは「うまく命中したわね」とからかい、ジョンは大笑い。
赤面のジェームズはバスルームで身だしなみを整え、もう一度食卓に。そこで見たのは、すでにデザートを食べている皆の横で、椅子を前後に傾け遊ぶジョンの姿だった。ジャクリーンに「止めなさい」と叱られてもジョンは聞く耳を持たず。そのうち椅子が完全に壊れてしまい、ジョンは床に崩れ落ちる格好になってしまった。それを見たジャクリーンは「だから止めなさいと言ったじゃないの、あなたって本当に行儀の悪い人ね！」と激怒。しかし、行儀が悪いと言われ、ジョンも黙ってはいなかった、「ジェームズなんて、テーブルに吐き出したじゃないか」と言い返し、居合わせたジェームズは、いたたまれなくなったという。
今となっては大笑いのジェームズだが、当時超セレブの故ジャクリーン・ケネディ夫人、そして現駐日米大使のキャロライン・ケネディ氏の目の前で醜態をさらした思い出は、今後も一生消えることはないのだろう。
