「スーパーナチュラル」のジェンセン・アクレスが、父親役を演じていたジェフリー・ディーン・モーガンの番組再出演を願う熱烈コールに、「彼は今でも僕らのファミリーの一員」と固い結束を誓うコメントを送った。
米エンタメサイトの取材に応えた、ジェンセンは、ジェフリーについて「ジェフとはよく話をするよ。彼は僕の親しい友人の一人で、『スーパーナチュラル』の大ファンでもある。彼は今も僕らのファミリーの一員だし、彼のスピリッツは『スーパーナチュラル』に通じるものがあるんだ」と、番組を離れた今も仲間であることを強調。さらに「彼はいつもこんな感じだ、『なあ、オレが時間さえ取れれば、いつ戻ってもいいんだろ？』ってね。まるでそうなることが当然であるかのように。そして皆も、そうなればいいと思ってる。近いうちに実現するとは約束できないけれど」
ジェフリーも「スーパーナチュラル」再出演の条件として、ジェンセンに監督してほしいと話していたように、シーズン６以降、ジェンセンの監督エピソードはファンのお楽しみでもある。番組の主役、そして監督として、「スーパーナチュラル」と他の番組の違いは、ファンの声に耳を傾けることだとジェンセンは話す。
「他の番組ではあまり考えられないことだろうけど、僕らはファンとよくコミュニケーションを取っている。ストーリーやキャラクターについてファンがどのように感じているかを知りたくて、彼らの声を聞いているんだ。それによって気づかされることもあるし、究極的に言えば僕はファンの望むキャラクターそのものでもある。10年間番組を支えてきてくれたファンにとって、何がベストが考えているんだ」
ジェンセンの次なる監督エピソードはシーズン11の第3話。一話完結型のスッキリしたエピソードになるという。
