熱心なファンに支えられ、米国では今秋からシーズン５に突入する「GRIMM／グリム」。その主役のニック・ブルクハルトを演じるデヴィッド・ジュントーリは、初めての本格的なレギュラー出演となる本作で、見事主役の座をつかんだラッキーボーイ。しかし、そんなデヴィッドも「GRIMM／グリム」以前には、オーディションで恥ずかしい思いをしたという。
「GRIMM／グリム」に出演が決まる前のこと。デヴィッドはあるTVドラマのオーディションを受けた。最初のオーディションの後、デヴィッドは放送ネットワークによる二次オーディションを心待ちにしていた。やがてマネージャーからの連絡。「いい知らせだ、キャスティング・ディレクターは気に入ってくれた。だけど放送ネットワークからはそれらしいコメントがなくて…」と口ごもりながら、「とにかく家に帰って、髪を洗って出直して来い、だって」とデヴィッドに伝えた。この言葉を素直に受け取ったデヴィッドは、洗髪してオーディションに戻り、見事役をゲット。しかし、胸中は複雑だった。頭テカテカで臨んだことをやんわり指摘されたようで恥ずかしかったのだ。デヴィッドは「僕の髪にそんなにたくさん整髪料は必要ないなんて、それまで誰も言ってくれなかったもの」と、今もちょっぴり傷ついた心を引きずっているらしい。
