米では2013年に最終シーズンが放送され、最終回はTVドラマ史上最高の終焉との呼び声が高い「ブレイキング・バッド」。視聴率上昇中に終了したためか、番組を惜しむ声は多く、すでにスピンオフ「Better Call Saul」の製作が決定している。
その「ブレイキング・バッド」出演者の中でも、エミー賞助演男優賞を２度受賞したジェシー役のアーロン・ポールは、主演のブライアン・クランストンと並ぶ、番組の出世頭。アーロンが、先日オンラインのトーク番組「HuffPost Live」に出演した際の軽～いウソが話題となっている。
主演映画『Hellion』PRのため、番組に出演したアーロン、話題は「ブレイキング・バッド」“その後”について。「どうなってるの？」と尋ねる番組司会者に、アーロンは「もう出ちゃってるんだろ？」と、意味不明の返答。そして、「このニュースはまだ公（おおやけ）になるはずじゃなかったんだけど…、僕らは今、次のシーズンに取り掛かっているんだ」と仰天発言をぶち上げた。
「なんだって！」と司会者はもちろん、周囲も悲鳴。「誰かこのニュースがもう表に出ているか調べてくれよ」とパニくる司会者に、さすがのアーロンも驚いたのか、「いやいや、ウソだよ」とすぐに発言撤回。「そんなこと起こるわけないじゃないか」と、完全否定してその場を収めた。
軽～いウソが騒ぎを呼んでしまうのも、その人気ゆえ。「ブレイキング・バッド」復活の可能性は低いが、スピンオフ「Better Call Saul」には、アーロンもいつか出演してみたいと願っているという。
