米TV史上に残る傑作ドラマとして、高い人気を誇る「ブレイキング・バッド」が、ソーシャルメディアのツイッターで、２つの記録を樹立していたことが分かった。結果を発表した米ニールセン社は、昨年秋からツイッターでのTVレーティング調査を開始している。
対象期間は2013年９月～2014年５月。このシーズン中に放送されたTV番組の中で、「ブレイキング・バッド」は各エピソードの平均リーチ数（各エピソードに関連するつぶやきが読まれた数）、および１エピソードにおける最高リーチ数を記録した。
対象期間中に放送された、最終シーズンの「ブレイキング・バッド」は、１エピソード当たり平均600万回のリーチを達成。２位は「ウォーキング・デッド」で、以下「プリティ・リトル・ライアーズ」「The Bachelor」（リアリティーショー）、「ゲーム・オブ・スローンズ」と人気番組が続く。
さらに、シリーズ最終回のリーチ数は、910万回を突破し、1エピソードにおける最高リーチ記録を達成した。放送日（９月29日）には主演のブライアン・クランストン、アーロン・ポールらもライブ・ツイートに参加したことに加え、リアーナやニーナ・ドブレフ（「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」）らフォロワーを多く抱える有名セレブがツイートしたことも、リーチ数増加に拍車をかけたようだ。
