2013年の大みそかにプロテニス選手のライアン・スウィーティングと電撃婚したケイリー・クオコ（「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」）。新婚さんの二人が愛の巣に選んだのは、ロサンゼルス郊外ターザナの豪邸で、お値段は５５０万ドル（約５億４千万）なり。スターカップルにふさわしい豪華な新居のはずが、ケイリーにはどうしても気になることがあった。
それは、元の持ち主がクロエ・カーダシアン＆ラマー・オドムの離婚カップルだということ。米リアリティ番組「Keeping Up With the Kardashian」で有名なクロエは、カーダシアン３姉妹の３番目。NBAのバスケットボール選手ラマーと交際一か月で結婚した様子は、スピンオフ番組「Khloe & Lamar」として放送されていた。当初は仲睦まじかった二人だったが、ラマーに薬物使用や浮気の噂が浮上。奇しくもケイリーとライアンが結婚したその日に、クロエはラマーとの離婚申請を行い、4年間の結婚生活に終止符を打ったのだ。
新婚さんにとっては、いささか縁起の悪い家。家にうごめく邪気を追い払いたいと考えるのは当然かもしれない。「ケイリーは、新居を二人の愛と幸福の聖域にしたいと思っています。だからクロエとラマーの残した邪気を払うことに決めたのです」（ケイリーに近い関係者）
邪気を払うため、ケイリーはスピリチュアルの専門家に依頼。白セージとパロサントを焚いて、空気を清め、聖なるスピリットを呼び寄せた。さらに風水の専門家には、良い気の流れを作るため、家具の配置などを相談したという。
結婚願望が強かったといわれるケイリー。全ての邪気を追い払った今、新居を“愛と幸福の聖域”に変えてゆく準備は万端のようだ。
