ハリウッドの内側を描くドラマ「レイ・ドノヴァン ザ・フィクサー」主演のリーヴ・シュレイバー、番組の好評で、休日も気分はノリノリらしい。
ロサンゼルスの休日の過ごし方といえば、ビーチ！ サーフィン好きのリーヴは親友のサイモン・ベイカー（TV「メンタリスト」）とサーフィンに興じる姿が何度も目撃されているが、この日パパラッチされたのは、シュレイバー一家のビーチサイクリングだ。
以前住んでいたニューヨークで自転車を愛用していたリーヴ、車社会のロサンゼルスでもやっぱり自転車に乗りたいらしい。２月１日の土曜日、真冬のニューヨークとは正反対の初夏のように暖かいロサンゼルスで、ロードバイクタイプの自転車に乗ったリーヴは、シャツを脱いだ短パン姿。鍛えた上半身を見せつけているのか、それとも日焼けがしたいのか？ ロードバイクの後ろに二人の息子たちが乗るチャイルドシートを付け、馬車馬のように走るパワフルなお父さんだ。一方のお母さん、リーヴのパートナーのナオミ・ワッツが乗るのは、もちろんママチャリ。半裸の夫に比べ、ナオミは帽子に長袖長ズボン、そして大きめのサングラスと、リーヴほどノリノリ気分に見えないのは、女優だけに仕方のないところか…。
一部始終をパパラッチされ、セレブとはいえ、気の毒なサイクリングの休日を過ごしたシュレイバー一家。それでも帰途の途中らしき写真には、笑顔のナオミと、チャイルドシートで眠ってしまった子どもたちを見守るリーヴの姿が。家族サービスに励んだお父さんとしては、満点の休日だったに違いない。
