◆ブレイク・ライブリー、映画初主演決まる キャサリン・ハイグルが降板した、歳を取らない女性の不思議なラブストーリー
昨年９月の結婚以降、女優業をお休みしていた「ゴシップガール」のブレイク・ライブリーが映画で本格復帰だ。初主演作となる映画『The Age of Adaline』の出演が決定したもので、若手の期待株、リー・トランド・クリーガー監督がメガホンを取る。
『The Age of Adaline』の主人公は、20世紀初頭に生まれた若い女性アダリン。アダリンは29歳で生死をさまよう大事故に出会ってから、歳を取らなくなってしまう。その秘密を抱えながら、アデリンは世界中を旅し、そして恋をするという不思議なラブストーリー。ブレイクが演じるのは、その歳を取らない女性アダリン役。共演者には、エレン・バースティン（『アリスの恋』『レクイエム・フォー・ドリーム』）が決定している。
ブレイクにとって、アダリン役は女優として大きなチャレンジだ。「ゴシップガール」では、主役のセリーナ役を６シーズン務めたが、単独での映画主演は初めてのこと。アカデミー賞主演女優賞を受賞しているエレンとの共演に加え、アダリン役は演技力で定評のあるキャサリン・ハイグル（「グレイズ・アナトミー」）が一度キャストされていた（のちに降板）、ハイレベルな役でもあるのだ。
結婚して精神面では最高に充実しているブレイク。女優として、もう一つ階段を上がることになりそうだ。
