◆「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」ニーナ・ドヴレフ＆イアン・サマーハルダー、愛犬がつなぐ元恋人同士の友情
今年の春ごろ破局したと言われる、「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」主演のニーナ・ドヴレフとイアン・サマーハルダー。シーズン５を撮影中の二人は、別れても、友好な関係を保っていると言われている。その友情をつないでいるのは、なんとイアンの愛犬ニーチェなのだという。
雌の迷い犬が、アトランタにある「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」のスタジオ近くに現れたのは、今年８月のこと。運命だったのだろうか、イアンは妊娠中と気づかぬまま、その雌犬をニーチェと名付け、正式に飼い犬として引き取った。
10月に入り、ニーチェの出産が近くなると、イアンは「ニーチェがもうすぐ愛のかたまりを地球に産み落とします」と、ママになる寸前のニーチェをインスタグラム（写真共有SNSサイト）で披露。８匹の赤ちゃん犬の誕生もしっかり見守った。
赤ちゃん犬の誕生にはしゃいでいるのは、イアンだけでない。元恋人のニーナも自分の愛犬のように大喜び。ニーナはニーチェと赤ちゃん犬の写真を、自分のWhoSay（セレブ用SNSサイト）に投稿、「ミニ・ニーチェが生まれました。すごく美しくって、最高な瞬間を見てしまいました！」と、イアンと一緒に出産を見守ったことを伺わせた。
新恋人デレク・ハフの存在も噂されるニーナ。イアンとのロマンスは過去の物となりつつあるが、ニーチェが二人の友情の絆を強めているのは間違いないようだ。
