◆「LAW & ORDER」のデニス・ファリーナさんが逝去
現在スーパー！ドラマTVで放送中の「LAW & ORDER」シーズン15～16にジョー・フォンタナ役で出演していた米俳優のデニス・ファリーナさんが、７月22日朝、アリゾナ州の病院で逝去した。69歳だった。ファリーナさんの広報担当は、ファリーナさんが肺の血塊で闘病中だったと発表している。
ファリーナさんは、37歳で役者に転身するまで、18年間シカゴで警官を務めていた異色の経歴の持ち主。人懐こく愛嬌のある顔立ちで、TV、映画に出演作が絶えなかった。2004年から２シーズン出演した、「LAW & ORDER」では、刑事には似つかわしくない伊達男のフォンタナ刑事役でお茶の間の顔に。最近では、「New Girl ～ダサかわ女子と三銃士」にゲスト出演。メインキャラクターの一人、ニック（ジェイク・ジョンソン）の父親役だった。
また大物俳優との共演作も多く、映画『ミッドナイト・ラン』ではロバート・デニーロと、『ゲット・ショーティ』ではジョン・トラボルタと共演。HBOのドラマ「Lucky」ではダスティン・ホフマンの相棒役を演じていた。
