◆ブレイク・ライブリー、「ゴシップガール」映画化には気乗りせず
「ゴシップガール」のブレイク・ライブリーが、元共演者たちをやきもきさせていると米スター誌が報じている。
この“やきもき”の発端は、「ゴシップガール」の映画化構想。最近のＴＶドラマシリーズの映画化ブームに、「ゴシップガール」も例外ではなく、映画版製作の話が持ち上がっているという。ところが肝心の主役セリーナ・ヴァンダーウッドセンを演じているブレイクが、映画版の主演に気乗りしていないというのだ。
関係者によれば、他のキャストが映画化に前向きなのに対し、「（ブレイクは）映画化は良いアイデアでなく、できる限り避けたいと考えているようです」。６シーズン続いた「ゴシップガール」で、セリーナ役を全うしたと思うブレイクの気持ちも分からないではない。今後、ブレイクが映画女優として活躍していくために、一つのキャラクターのイメージにとらわれたくないというのも本音だろう。
しかし、長年一緒に働いた仲間たちに「申し訳ない」と胸を痛めているのも事実のようだ。「（番組終了後）仕事を探している元キャストがいるのを、ブレイクは知っていますからね。だから、皆にはどうか理解してほしいと話しているみたいです」（関係者）。
ストーリー的にも、興行的にもブレイクの存在抜きには進まない「ゴシップガール」の映画化構想。ブレイクの首が縦に振られる日は来るのだろうか…。
