◆「メンタリスト」のサイモン・ベイカー ジバンシーの新男性用フレグランス、イメキャラ広告第一弾が発表
「メンタリスト」のサイモン・ベイカーが新しくイメージキャラクターを務める、ジバンシーの男性用フレグランス「Gentlemen Only」のグローバル広告キャンペーン第一弾が、このほど発表された。
降りしきる雨の中、スーツ姿の“ジェントルマン”サイモンが、びしょ濡れになることもいとわず女性モデルに傘を差しだす…、“水もしたたる、いい男”とは、まさにこの広告のサイモンのこと。
サイモンを世界的マーケットに向けたイメージキャラクターに選んだジバンシー・グローバル社は、この人選について「サイモンには高貴な人格が持ち合わせる優雅さとカリスマがあります。この気質こそが、ユベール・ド・ジバンシーが作り上げたジバンシーのイメージそのものなのです」とコメント。
一方、老舗ブランドの“ジェントルマン”の大役に抜擢されたサイモンは、“ジェントルマン”になりたい男性諸氏にアドバイスとして、「自分を知ることは大切です。他人の間に入って、自分はどんな存在なのか？ そこでふさわしい振る舞いをするのです。礼儀正しく、自制する心も必要でしょうし、威厳を保つことも忘れてはなりません」。常に謙虚さを忘れないのも、サイモンが“ジェントルマン”たるゆえんだ。「僕自身も“ジェントルマン”に憧れています。自分が理想的な“ジェントルマン”だと思ってはいませんからね」
「Gentlemen Only」の日本での販売は、4月17日から一部店舗で先行発売。５月２日から全国発売される。
