◆ブレイク・ライブリー＆ライアン・レイノルズ夫妻が小児病棟をおしのび訪問
｢ゴシップガール｣のブレイク・ライブリーと夫で俳優のライアン・レイノルズが、おしのびでカナダの病院の小児病棟を訪れていたことが分かった。
ライアンは現在、カナダ・サドバリーにて主演映画『Queen of the night』を撮影中。ブレイクも夫に付き添って、同地に滞在していたようだ。二人はその撮影の合間に、同ヘルス・サイエンシーズ・ノース病院の小児病棟をおしのび訪問となったわけだが、病院の広報担当者によれば、「公式の写真撮影や取材お断りのプライベート訪問」を、ライアン側が依頼してきたという。
同病棟に生後3ヶ月の男児を入院させている母親は、地元オンラインサイトの取材に対し、「ライアンとブレイクは、私たちにとても優しくしてくれました。息子はまだ3ヶ月で、他の年長の子どもたちのように、（二人の）訪問にはしゃいだりはしませんでしたが、もっと大きくなったら今日のことを話してあげたいと思います」と感激のコメント。さらに二人は、病棟の皆と気軽に写真撮影にも応じていたという。
先の病院広報担当者は、ブレイクとライアンが子どもたちと親しく接していたと明かした上で、「今日の訪問が、子どもたち、親たち、そして病院の職員らにとって、どれだけ励みになったことでしょう」と、二人に最大限の感謝の言葉を寄せている。
