3月末に一部メディアで報道されていた「ブラックリスト」スピンオフ版が、このたび、米NBCで放送されることが正式に決定した。
スピンオフ版のタイトルは、「The Blacklist：Redemption（償い）」。当初の予定どおり、 映画『X－MEN』シリーズなどで知られる女優のファムケ・ヤンセンが主演で、ファムケ演じるスーザン・“スコッティ”・ハーグレイヴは、極秘任務を請け負う民間組織グレイ・マターズのリーダー役だという。
「ブラックリスト」にレギュラー出演していたトム・キーン役のライアン・エッゴールドが、スピンオフ版へ移動。潜入任務を得意とするトムは、グレイ・マターズに加入し、政府さえも黙認する極秘任務を遂行しながら、謎に包まれた“スコッティ”の存在、そしてトム自身も知りえなかった過去について、少しずつ明らかになるというストーリーだ。
“スコッティ”は、米NBCで5月5日、12日に放送された「ブラックリスト シーズン３」放送分に登場、スピンオフ版に向けて、視聴者には紹介ずみ。さらにこのスピンオフ版には、シーズン３の準レギュラーだったソロモン役のエディ・ガテギ（映画『X-MEN: ファースト・ジェネレーション』）、ゲスト出演していたタウニー・サイプレス（『HEROES／ヒーローズ』）のレギュラー入りも決まっている。
また米NBCは、今秋から始まる新番組シーズンの編成を発表。本家シリーズの「ブラックリスト」は現行の木曜9時から同10時に移行し、このスピンオフ版の「The Blacklist: Redemption」の放送はミッドシーズン（2017年初頭）となることも分かった。
