天才集団スコーピオンが、ゲーム番組に出演！ と言っても劇中のお話。
「SCORPION／スコーピオン」シーズン２第18話「The Fast and the Nerdiest」で、大金が必要になった天才集団が、手っ取り早く稼ぐ方法として選んだのが、人気ゲーム番組「The Price is Right」への挑戦だ。
「The Price is Right」は、実際に米CBSで放送されているゲーム番組。ルールはいたって簡単で、選ばれた挑戦者たちが、登場する商品の価格を推測。最も近い価格を当てた挑戦者がその商品や現金を手にすることができる。
エピソードでは、「The Price is Right」のスタジオにやって来た天才集団の中から選ばれた、シルヴェスター（アリ・スティダム）が価格当てゲームに挑戦する。そこで空気の読めないシルヴェスターは周囲をドン引きさせてしまうという、いかにも“スコーピオン”らしいオチ。
今回はあくまでもお芝居として「The Price is Right」に挑戦したアリだが、実は同番組とは生まれる前から因縁があったという。
なんとアリの母親が、アリの兄を妊娠中に同番組に出演、見事に高級車と現金を獲得した。その現金のおかげでマイホームを購入できた両親は、「では二人目を」とアリを妊娠したのだとか。つまり「The Price is Right」出演がなかったら、アリはこの世に存在しなかったかもしれないというのだ。
お祭り騒ぎのスタジオに乗せられて、撮影もノリノリだった様子。普段はクールな天才集団が別の一面を見せる楽しいエピソードとなっているようだ。
