「ビッグバン★セオリー ギークなボクらの恋愛法則」のケイリー・クオコが、9月25日、プロテニス選手のライアン・スウィーティングとの21か月の結婚生活に終止符を打つことを発表した。二人は、2013年9月に、3ヶ月の交際を経て婚約。同年の大みそかに豪華な結婚式を挙げていた。
今年に入ってから、絶えることのなかった不仲の噂が本当のものとなった。度重なる離婚危機報道に、4月、ケイリーは自身のインスタグラムに「この地球上に彼ほど誇りに思える人はいない」と投稿。それまで怪我や中傷に耐えてきたライアンを支える力強い愛の言葉を綴っていた。しかし、その後、お互いの努力は限界に達したのか、9月のイベントに参加したのを最後に、公の場で二人一緒の姿を見せることはなかった。
ケイリーは離婚発表の朝、Facebookやインスタグラムなどソーシャルメディアからライアンの写真を削除、さらに公式プロフィールからもライアンの名前を消した。一方のライアンは現在、Facebookのアカウントを停止状態にして、プライバシーを守っている。
一夜明けた26日、ケイリーはカリフォルニア州で行われた馬術大会に出場、得意の馬術を披露した。関係者は、「（ケイリーは）競技にどっぷり集中していました。大会に参加できることを存分に楽しんでいたように見えました」と語っており、気持ちの切り替えは早かったようだ。
ケイリーは、今後、10月初頭にロサンゼルスで行われる国際大会「ロンジン馬術マスターズ」にゲストとして参加する予定。公のイベントで、離婚についての言及があるか注目されている。
