「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」のキャロライン役で美人女優のキャンディス・アッコラが、自身のインスタグラムで妊娠中であることを明かした。夫は、人気ロックバンド、ザ・フレイのギタリスト、ジョー・キング。
キャンディスは、ジョーとその前妻の間に生まれた2人の娘たちと一緒にインスタグラムに写真を投稿。「土曜日に手書きTシャツを着て、家族写真を撮るのもいいものね」と説明文をつけて、笑顔で写真に納まっている。白いTシャツ姿のキャンディスは、膨らみ始めたお腹を強調するようなハートのマークに“Baby”の文字、ジョーのTシャツには胸の部分に“S”ならぬ、“Superdad”の文字が記されており、家族4人で、新しい家族の誕生を祝った一日となったようだ。
キャンディスとジョーは、昨年10月に結婚。出産予定日などは不明だが、ジョーも自身のインスタグラムに「ベイビー・キングができたぞ！美しい妻と娘たちと一緒に、この地球に生まれる新しい命を誇りを持って歓迎したい」と喜びの声を伝えている。
米国で今秋からスタートするシーズン７では、ヒロイン級の活躍も期待されるキャンディス。お腹に宿るベイビー・キングのパワーを借り、小悪魔的な演技に磨きがかかりそうだ。
