米プレミアムケーブル局のShowtimeが、「レイ・ドノヴァン ザ・フィクサー」シーズン４の更新を発表した。シーズン４もこれまでと同様に、全12話が製作される。放送は来年の予定。
「レイ・ドノヴァン ザ・フィクサー」は、7月12日からシーズン３がスタート。新シーズンは、イアン・マクシェーン、ケイティ・ホームズら大物スターをキャストに迎え、話題性は抜群。シリーズ最高視聴者数を集めたシーズン２フィナーレから、ファンの期待も高まっていた。
シーズン３初回は、放送当日から10日早い、7月2日からオンラインでフライング視聴が可能に。視聴方法の選択肢が増えた効果は絶大で、視聴者数はシーズン２の初回と比べて32％の増加となる、161万人（放送当日及び当日までの10日間の合計）を記録している。
「レイ・ドノヴァン ザ・フィクサー」は、スキャンダラスなハリウッドの裏側をハードボイルドに描く、米エンタメ界注目の一作。今年のエミー賞では、主役のレイを演じるリーヴ・シュレイバーが主演男優賞にノミネート。リーヴは、ゴールデン・グローブ賞でも昨年から2年連続で主演男優賞にノミネートされており、その熱演は高い評価を呼んでいる。
同時にShowtimeは、「レイ・ドノヴァン ザ・フィクサー」に続く時間帯に放送されているドラマ「マスターズ・オブ・セックス」についてもシーズン４の更新を発表した。
