「ゴシップガール」のブレイク・ライブリーが第一子を妊娠したことを、自身の運営するライフスタイル提案サイト「プリザーブ」にて発表した。同サイトにはブレイクが丸くふくらんだお腹を、愛おしそうに見つめる写真も掲載されている。
ブレイク、そして夫のライアン・レイノルズから直接の言葉はないものの、サイトのブログ記事“家族が大好き（Fall for family）”で、お腹のふくらんだ女性たちのアイスティーとスウィーツのパーティーを紹介。「今日、私たちは新しい家族の誕生をお祝いしています」と説明の後、記事の後半にはブレイクも参加して、お互いの妊娠を祝福しあうという内容になっている。
情報筋によれば、「二人はもう喜びの絶頂です。この時を待っていましたから。彼らとって人生の次章をスタートするのに最高のタイミングでしょう。お互い深く愛し合っていますから、素晴らしいパパとママになりますよ」。
ブレイクはすでに妊娠13週以降を順調に経過、「彼女は妊娠中の一瞬一瞬を楽しんでいるようです」と先の情報筋は語っている。
現在27歳のブレイクは、映画『グリーン・ランタン』で共演後、交際に発展したライアン（37歳）と2012年9月に挙式。子ども好きの二人は以前から早く子宝を授かることを切望していた。過去のインタビューでブレイクは「できることなら、子どもは30人欲しい」と語っている。
