「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」、そしてそのスピンオフシリーズ「The Originals」に主演するジョセフ・モーガンが、７月５日、ジャマイカで結婚式を挙げていたことが分かった。お相手は、「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」シーズン３で共演した女優のペルシャ・ホワイト。33歳のジョセフより、ペルシャは８歳年上の41歳。
独占取材を行った米ピープル誌によれば、ジャマイカを永遠の思い出の場所に選んだのは、二人共に海のそばで育ったという理由から。「式では派手なことも、特別なこともしなかったわ。私たちは全てを睦まじく、美しく、そして自然の力を借りながら進めたかったの」と、ペルシャはロマンチックな結婚式を振り返る。
「ヴァンパイア・ダイアリーズ」が縁で、約２年の交際を経てゴールインした二人だが、参列者は家族と一握りの友人のみ。「僕の選んだベストマン（新郎付添人）は、20年来の友だち、マット・ライアンだ。彼とは僕らがティーエイジャーの頃から親友なんだ」（モーガン）。マットは、モーガンと同じくウェールズ出身で、新ドラマ「Constantine」の主役に抜擢された、注目の俳優だ。
結婚式のために蝶ネクタイを初めて自分で結んだ。そんな「自分を誇りに思う」と、一歩大人の階段を昇ったジョセフに対し、ペルシャは「可愛いミニ・ジョセフが欲しい」と、ややせっかちに子作り宣言。昨シーズン始まった「The Originals」も好評のうち、シーズン２へ。多忙な主演俳優に、年上の花嫁の願いはいつ叶う？
