海外ドラマ最新レポート Vol.603 　「HEROES／ヒーローズ」新シリーズ企画が浮上

2006年から4シーズンにかけて米NBCで放送された「HEROES／ヒーローズ」の新シリーズ企画「Heroes: Eclipsed(原題、仮)」が浮上していることが分かった。
 
「HEROES／ヒーローズ」は、NY、LA、そして東京など世界中のあちこちで、突然スーパーヒーローのような特殊能力が備わった普通の人々が、戸惑い、悩みながらも、宿命に向き合う。女子高校生チアリーダー、冴えないサラリーマンなど、スーパーヒーローにはほど遠いキャラクター設定がユニークで、当時は大きな人気を呼んだ。
2015年には、続編として「HEROES REBORN／ヒーローズ・リボーン」が全13話で製作されている。
 
新シリーズ「Heroes: Eclipsed(原題、仮)」の脚本を手掛けるのは、「HEROES／ヒーローズ」クリエーターのティム・クリング。オリジナル版の数年後を舞台に、新しい主人公たちが能力に目覚め、新旧の敵から地球を守るために闘うストーリーだという。
現時点では、NBC、その他配信サービスに企画が売り込まれている段階だ。「HEROES REBORN／ヒーローズ・リボーン」から10年近くの時を経て、再びクリングはユニークなスーパーヒーローズを生み出すのか？　パワーアップするに違いない新しい彼らの物語について、吉報を楽しみに待ちたいものだ。
