ピカードが突然タイムスリップをし、25年後の未来、7年前の過去、現在、の3つの時間を行き来するようになる。そんな折、中立ゾーンのデブロン星系に巨大な時空の歪みが発生。そこにロシュランの艦隊も現れるという異常事態が起き、エンタープライズは早速調査に向かう。
