レイはフィニーからヴェローナ知事のスキャンダルとなる携帯電話の回収を頼まれる。ヴェローナの愛人だった大学院生のブリアナに携帯を返すよう言うと、ある教授に渡したと言う。レイはリーナに協力を求め、自分は娘ブリジットの進路相談のため高校へ行く。
